Happy New Year!!!!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Or something like that. To tell you the truth I can't remember much of my new years eve, but then again I guess that's doing it right. So I'll keep this blog post short and sweet (much like I always do) I just want to wish everyone a very happy new year and thank everyone for all the support they have given us in 2008.
2008 was an exciting year for us at Minor Detail. It was the birth of our show. I think if you go back and listen to the first couple episodes you will see that we've come a long way. The show went through a make-over in several ways the website, the logo, the studio and the sound all seemed to change into something that I never imagined it would when I started this podcast. I never thought this show would turn into anything the least bit interesting to anybody, but I guess someone is listening. So thank you everyone.
Now go listen to our boring film nerd babble on Episode 37. The first Minor Detail 'cast of the new year. WHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Happy Holidays!

I forgot to update the blog when I uploaded the new episode. So now I'm updating this from my phone at work.
Let me just let everyone know that there will not be a show next week. We'll be taking a week off for the holiday. Feel free to go back and listen to past shows if you are new to Minor Detail. And if you want to give us a Christmas gift you can hit the donate button and send some love our way.

Gimme Another Beer!

Great show last night. The guys from Free Beer joined us in the chat for the show. The Sexpert even called into the show. So I returned the favor and joined the chat room for Free Beer's show. Man I gotta say it's more fun in the chat room when you don't have to be running a show at the same time. So this weekend wraps up my vacation. I successfully did nothing. It was just one of those things where I had a lot of vacation days to use up before the end of the year, but no money to go anywhere. Nothing left to do but drink! So I drank plenty this week and that pretty much became my vacation.
So anyways, we recorded episode 35 last night and I just got done posting it on the Episodes page. Jon was out of town this weekend so we took it old school with just Nick and I. The show is back this week and I hope that everybody enjoyed the best of Minor Detail episode that I put together last week. Still, I am very sorry about not putting up a new episode last week and I apologize to Amy who would have been our guest for episode 33. Sometimes my computer just doesn't want to work with me.
So now episode 34 is up on the Episodes page. We didn't do a live broadcast last night because I just wanted to keep the show minimal just to minimize the possibility of something going wrong again. We didn't have a guest for episode 34 but we hope to have Amy back sometime soon. So everybody go check out episode 34 and enjoy it!

New Look!

Thanks to Rick and Morgan the site got a much needed makeover. They've added a few new things as well. We now have a link on the nav bar for our live broadcasts, and we also have a promote page. There you can find some badges and a logo you can post on your page to link to us. Also if you look to the right we have a permanent link to vote for us on Podcast Alley. Now I don't have to annoyingly add that to every blog entry. Tell us how you like the new site. I want to know what the listeners think.

So it took 30 episodes but we finally broke our rule about never talking about politics on the show, and you know what... It wasn't all that bad. The rule is still in place but come on, we just had an election. So go check out episode 30 under the episodes tab and enjoy!

I'm suprised that I recovered from my birthday weekend, but I have. There were no casualties like the years passed. Oh but the beer and liquor was flowing. Lots of good friends showed up to help me drink it all. The best time I've had in a long time. So now I'm looking forward to an awesome Halloween party next weekend. And who knows, I might bust out the camera and post a video from the party here on the site. So everyone look forward to our Halloween episode this week!

Special Saturday Show

Last night, for the first time ever we did a Saturday night podcast. It was very nice for me since there was no pressure to get the episode mixed and posted online right away. Also, it's nice knowing I don't have to show up at work the next morning with a hangover. Next week's episoide will be on a Thursday again (Oct. 23, 2008) But then we will be doing either Friday or Saturday shows from then on. German kids are bad for the show

So we got through our first live cast and it was a little awkward. I felt like I was distracted the whole time. I was kinda out of the conversation and more into what was going on with the camera and the chat. It's something I'm going to have to get use to.
So it's official, Jon is our new co-host. I think Jon brings a lot to the show. He's one of the funniest guys I know and he seems to really like doing the show.
With the new live feed comes a new way to communicate with us. Every Thursday when we go live at 8:30EST you can call in the show using Skype on your computer. Our Skype name is minordetailpodcast.
